Isaac Dahn God where were you?
June 17, 2011 at 10:02 pm

Nathaniel Valentine Jehovah,is there and was there and will always be there,bt he gives men
their free will,to choose b/w good and evil dats all.
June 17, 2011 at 10:49 pm

Duke Fearless Hyena Kla-Williams That is exactly right Nate!
June 17, 2011 at 11:22 pm

Lassana Perry Nate I agree with you 100%
June 18, 2011 at 6:47 am

Peter Gabo These are not men, just that age the concept of good versus evil has had little possibility to establish itself. God/Jehovah was apparently content with a situation in which immature humans would, among other attrocities, maim and kill other humans, some as helpless as infants. For an "all-loving", "all-powerful" entity not necessarily one of the highights of his portfolio.
June 18, 2011 at 7:53 am

Samuel Cooper @Meekiezee: What do you mean by, "God where were you?" God was there when Liberians sowed evil and He was also there when we reaped it. Why should these past events surprise you guy? Didn't Mother Dukley prophesized this evil day before the tyrant killed her?
June 18, 2011 at 5:32 pm

Samuel Cooper @Peter Gabo: Are you suggesting that God supports every evil act under this sun?
June 18, 2011 at 5:37 pm

Isaac Dahn No, I was looking at those young men holding guns futures.
June 18, 2011 at 5:39 pm

Gbanjah Carter There can be no good without evil. The puppet masters will always be there looking for their next opportunity.
June 18, 2011 at 6:48 pm

Peter Gabo Samuel, Sir, I am suggesting God, if that entity in fact exists the way you appear to understand it, cannot afford to have a single baby mutilated or killed and still deserve to be revered as the all-loving/all-powerful. Since there are millions of innocents continueously enduring suffering all the time, God obviously is not involved in the fates of these people, nor does he seem to care. If there is a creator God, he is neither good, nor bad, but just IS. This is what I suggest, and all empirical evidence supports this neutral, deistic notion.
June 18, 2011 at 7:13 pm

Tamba Johnny Nyumah these kids get no sense of reasoning, all they do is to kill for their own fun.look at those kids what judge mind do they have,do they ever believed in God will or judgement!
July 1, 2011 at 10:14 am

Samuel Cooper @Mr. Tamba, these kids are the effects of Liberia's we sowed so we weaped. The Bible tells us to train our children in a way that they won't depart from...but instead we didn't train them.
July 1, 2011 at 11:23 am

Samuel Cooper @Tamba, to add on to that, how could we train them when C.O.s and their Warlord bosses became their role models and father figures to follow? Our backbiting/stabbing and treachery lead to this instability that created the fertile grounds (killing fields) for civil war and the children became the resources (pawns) for operations (the willing horses who were willing to follow). In the mist of hunger and poverty every where, what was these young boys suppose to do to survive? They had to fight!!!  If you asked me who didn't have the capacity to reason...I will tell you that it was those traitors Tolbert use to call his precious jewels....Liberian Govt. Scholarship recipients They acted like monkeys and parrots. What they saw abroad while attending school, ironically on government scholarships, they copied and practiced. And that was rebelliousness in the mist of a productive government, at the time, that was willing to negotiate and compromise. But they were preaching that decisive bull crap...talking about, " WHEN YOU WERE FROM THERE WE WERE FROM HERE.", failing to realize that Liberia's 13 tribes, historically, were never united (refer to Liberia's country timeline). And that fact just played out again from 1980 to 1990... ten unbroken chaotic years reminiscent to pre 1822 era, before the arrival of the Americo-Liberian settlers, when our ancestors were heavily involved in the transatlantic slave trade, senseless wars and genocides against each other simply because we spoke different dialects and greed for vanity. To my memory, my brother, I heard that Mother Dukley predicted all of this before she was wrongful slaughtered.
July 1, 2011 at 12:26 pm

Samuel Cooper Our youths were brain wash based on their tribal affiliations.
July 1, 2011 at 12:27 pm

Samuel Cooper @Peter Gabo, where is your faith?? As a matter of fact, you are you to question God's judgement?? The Bible says, "Just as the Heavens are higher then the earth, so are the thoughts and way of God...higher than man's.
July 1, 2011 at 3:15 pm

Samuel CooperSorry, I meant Who are you to question God's judgement??

July 1, 2011 at 10:08 am

A.j. Hoff No one gets mad at TIME, Newsweek, BBC and others for posting images of war in Liberia and Africa yet I've seen one too many comments for TMZ to stop posting the pics of his country at war. If we don't chronicle these events we WILL forget how bad war is. Once again, Keep posting TMZ.

Jacqueline George Tucker One thing I realized about war is the suffering of the innocent people, women, children, elderly and the disabled. Here is a handicapped man on his knees fleeing his home when he had nothing to do with politics. This is sad and hurtful. Hope he is still alive today.
April 29, 2011 at 3:46 pm

Todd Samuel Nagbe This is the reason why many Liberians don't want to go back, and I don't blame them. After all of these near death encounters..
April 29, 2011 at 9:45 pm

Forkay Gardeay Roberts That shouldn't stop any of us from going back home bro,Liberia is the only country we have,if we don't want to go back the foreigners will control everything and that won't be good for our future generations...We all went through some near death encounters but thank God we are alive by His grace. The only reason one mustn't be in rush to go back home is when he is not prepared to do so.Get your education or whatever career path you are taking, earn some money, and then go back and contribute to the rebuilding process ! Liberia needs all her sons and daughters.

May 1, 2011 at 12:47 am

Lassana Perry@ Sam no one in their right mind in his village or among his tribe will consider this man a hero. A hero that puts on a ladies wig, putting a scarf around his head like a woman and killing our innocent brothers and sisters that wants peace and destroying our beautiful country, that is a coward that is hiding behind a gun to prove he is somebody when he is nothing. I do agree with you on this part "he is way less than a man, a psychopath, murderer, cannibal, a degenerate who deserves... no mercy."
May 1, 2011 at 6:39 am

Taleeka SmithLoool Cuz Lassana.....
May 1, 2011 at 4:49 pm

Lassana Perry@ Sam I am not aware of the Gio tribe customs so I am not going to judge or comment on that but if you are talking from experience which you have personally witness then you are a far better man then me to have encounter such disturbing mess and still be in your right state of mind to know what they are doing is morally wrong. I applaud you my friend and all I have to say is that I thank God he blessed me with a mother, grandfather and grandmother and uncles that own businesses and showed me examples of what real men and women can do to SUPPORT THEIR FAMILY THE RIGHT AND MORAL WAY. Thank God I have not witness none of the men in my family put on a ladies wig or hide behind a weapon. They set example for me to follow and my #1 hero has been and will always be my MOTHER. Sam perhaps you are right about the Gio but I am not going to criticize any tribes because we are all Liberians in the end. Have a blessed life my bro.

Stevie Fleming Railey I STILL can't believe that Liberians are capable of this kind of cruelty! As a kid in Liberia, we were too scared to even point our fingers at a "grave yard" (cemetery). To see this little girl actually holding and displaying a Human skeleton, is unbelievable and disheartening!  Are they afraid of ANYTHING, anymore?

These are our little brothers and sisters that should have been our future. The warlords used the poor kids while their kids were been educated to takeover after the war. Someone help me here cuz I'm getting piss off.

M Tefoh WhiteThat list will be long.. lol..I'd say we need to start from the 70's that is when the crap started...
April 28, 2011 at 11:55 pm

Tom Monboebut he started the real blood share that brought the country to its needs - so he's the champion of destruction.....anything more?
April 30, 2011 at 2:28 am

Michael Dahn@ Tom, you need to think and backtrack on your statement. In as much as we didn't have to go to war to settle our differences, Taylor didn't start the blood flow. Take into account the years 1980, 1985, and all the pillaging and death that occurred due to Samuel Doe's blood-thirsty quest to stay in power at all cost.
May 1, 2011 at 6:51 am

Suwah C. Waitieh-KabehlGuys, let's stop splitting hairs over who started           This or not. Taylor, Doe, Kromah, Johnson, and all the heads of the various warring factions. The undisputable fact still remains that our our people lost theirs lives to these so called " freedom fighter". They killed the people that they supposedly came to free. How can you created chaos and desolation and call it PEACE??? Can someone please tell me..
May 1, 2011 at 7:30 am

May 3, 2011 at 11:11 am

Tom Monboe@Michael, listen to what i said, he started the real blood shed....the number of people killed during the war that was started in 1989 is incomparable with any moment in our country's conflict history. i am fully aware that there were series of spontaneous crises - very deadly too, but 1989 was the dead end of the road...and it brought Liberia to its needs.....brokedown every fabric of our then civilised society. this is a fact that should not be ignored for any reason whatsover...i am a student of realist history.

Suwah C. Waitieh-KabehlDing.. Ding.. Ding
Go back to your corners.. Round one is over. Why can't we agree to disagree.. If anyone shed an ounce of innocent blood, they can be sure of that.. Who started it or not is just a moot argument piont:

They had this rap during the war that went like this
" During this war, u know we all saw, I ate palm cabbage and borbor john raw. You know I nah short, you know I nah tall. Who gave the order, I cannot  recall. The Gios was fighting, Mandingos was hiding. Doe so greedy he died in an hour.

April 30, 2011 at 11:15 pm

PrfectManager Morris KromahI think these images call more for a sober reflection on the horrific past of our nation. I don't believe any of these images are comical or laughable. Some of these victims of horror are living with chopped up legs and hands, others did not survive to tell their stories. Some were our family members and so I believe these images are meant for each of us to look back at our horrific past...

April 30, 2011 at 1:48 pm

Patrick P. DoeI witnessed that piece of shit turned on the carrier, a 12 years old kid who was firing gun for the first time, and he forgot the weapon was on semi-auto. He dropped the weapon and that sucker started bouncing and releasing bullets. The kid took three bullets in his chest. It was a sad moment for the NPFL Small Boys Unit in Bomi Hill, but certainly it didn't stopped the others from carrying arms as well.

Really sad that Liberia still has people like you!!!!!!

May 1, 2011 at 3:16 am

Realboy DahnMr. Whitfield, you are right on that one, the kid was evil, but what  made me responded to this picture was what Tarlue and Jamal said about it. That kid could have come from any part of Liberia. I just can't understand why Tarlue and Jamal will judge a county by a picture of a child. Can they also tell me that the white women or all the women in the world who use white muds on the faces are all from Nimba County?

Realboy DahnYeah, I can understand your point, but it would be better to stop putting blames on each other, because doing so won't solve the problems, it will just stir them up again. So whatsoever your buddies did to you back then, please forgive them and let's move forward.

Octavious PerryMr. Dahn, Liberia need sons like your type in our nation building. “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless....
May 1, 2011 at 12:56 pm

Allen T. RossMr. Perry, why didn't you perform this contextual evaluation on Mr. Africanslave's first comment? Too close to him to let him know the result of your evaluation?
May 1, 2011 at 12:59 pm

Octavious PerryIn a very good psychological analysis, Mr. Jamal is speaking from an angry heart. If you went through the war and saw some of those things that other saw, you will surely understand Mr. Jamal point of concern. I think the best thing that we can do as fellow Liberians, is to assuage each other and not to exacerbate their frustration....
May 1, 2011 at 1:16 pm

Austin SOngaHey Miss Smith, we all have feelings, but did you see what they did to ppl back home??? I forgave but, they will still pay for all that they did to ppl... Berience Willorohh wow u guys are crazier lol.. I though all African are want...u are all bros hum""
May 2, 2011 at 3:01 am

Realboy DahnMr. Perry, thanks. Your comment is hardly appreciated. I am glad you did not generalize all Nimbanans like Jamal did, but then I can understand his point, especially if he was betrayed by his own friends he has known for so long. One thing I want Jamal to understand is that the time he is talking about was during the war, and during that time, people were forced to do things that are very hard to believe. Children were forced to kill their own parents, while husband were forced to watch their wives raped before them. So we can't continue keeping grudges against each other. The best thing to do at this time is forgive each other, move forward and pray for a better tomorrow. Liberia needs all of us!!!!!!!!
May 2, 2011 at 12:43 pm

Austin SOngaWell, Dahn, i am just telling you how it was,but now,I am done with everything that went on, i forgive them..

Lord have mercy on Liberia and hear the cry of the innocent souls that were loss. Also Lord, pursecute also those that have blood stain on their hands one @ a time.

June 17, 2011 at 6:27 pm

Prince Sargbah@Lassana, while you referring to them as "Innocent lives" Prince Y. Johnson in his defense referred to them as "Bushes." He in his recent hope for presidential speech said and I quote, "When two elephants fight, only the bushes can suffer." And the same statement as been repeatedly said by many other warlords over and over again which showed no regret or whatsoever. The poor man in this photo was just doing what he was told to do "Make the bushes suffer" that's all. who should we blame brother.

Ebony Davis@Steve. I  have some questions for you. have you ever seen any ducmentries of ww1, or ww11, or other war documentries? This is our past and this is also our history. This also to remind people about what   happend in the past should not be repeated.  I have seen films of the holocaust  and others where you see dogs eating human remains, this is a lesson for us all that war is never the answer.  So before you criticize please! try to be open minded.

Joseph Spencer No my man, enemies on the other side and battle was just about to commence. Patrick and his colleagues  would soon disappear and reappear again. God knows where they normally hide unhurt. But i learn't he nearly died during one of those battles in the Liberia war, but i wasn't there to witness what actually happened to him.

Tamba Johnny Nyumah the photographer there is taking risk for the money not for the love of the innocent liberian people!
July 1, 2011 at 10:43 am

Joseph Spencer @ Tamba, PLEASE for the sake of humanity don't talk about Patrick Robert the way you just did. Patrick is a Freelance photographer and this is what he does. He's done stuff for me personally in the past without asking for a dime. And anytime i try to give him something, he always refuse to take money off me. I would honestly ask you to retract your statement bro because i'm personally offended by your derogatory statement about Patrick...enough said!
July 1, 2011 at 2:30 pm

Sundiata Keita @Tamba Would you do what he did even if was for money?
July 2, 2011 at 8:40 am

Tamba Johnny Nyumah @Sundiata Keita i could personally do such if it was my career for the sake of the liberian people because i am a liberian,i could take more risk than he does@Joseph Spencer i guess you just said it right that Patrick Robert was a personal friend of urs,if he ve done something for you in the past and did not took a dam from you that was his personal feeling between you and him,but when it come to his career it done strictly on money brother.hope you don't get offended by my statement Joseph Spencer and my statement will never break ur friendship apart, and don't asked me to retract my statement because you guys are thing i want you to know is that even when you are in the minority of one the truth is always the you said my statement personally offended you, sorry hope you take that offend of ur mind, there are many jobs no one will dare doing it free!
July 3, 2011 at 3:24 pm

Joseph Spencer My man, Patrick is a freelance photo journalist and i wish you knew him back then, you will not be here chatting shit for notice. People could assign freelancer to work for them on a per-money basis but this man has passion for photography and it's partly because of him TMZ could come up with all these picture photographs.
July 3, 2011 at 5:15 pm

Joseph Spencer If Patrick had worked for money back then to risk his life to be in war zones recording every minutes of events through his photography, TMZ would have to pay loads of money running into millions of dollars for all these images on his page. I know this man too well and its offensive to see a Liberian talk ill of him the way you did and i'm still personally offended until you retract your derogatory comments about Patrick. Check out this web-links as eye-opener for you:    AND

Joseph Spencer
July 3, 2011 at 5:27 pm

Tamba Johnny Nyumah @Patrick Spancer let us not be too personal cause i feel it won't do us any good, under no conditions u will asked me to run off my feelings because Patrick Robert is ur personal friend,i commented and will always comment of how i do feel,if you don't like or accept my comment don't go about reading it,it seems you are the one going about looking for notice and ur notice won't come from me.if you don't like my comment don't read it, please don't as me shit of retracting my statement ok,if u want us to be abusive to each other on TMZ cause you firstly started it i am willing, don't become a stupid fool because Patrick is ur so call friend as you deemed it to be,every photos you see TMZ download here on this site Patrick have make some dolls,if it not from TMZ but some where else ether directly or indirectly,if you believed in your white superiority i am not one.let me educate for a better tomorrow on public forum or pages, you don't become the first to insult, what could be best is try to convinced the other party by means of educating he or her rather than throwing all my comment reader i do apologize for any insult used in my comment cause this dude was the first that started such,i ve never been abusive in any of my comment.
July 3, 2011 at 8:21 pm

Joseph Spencer Right! You said you’ve not been abusive in any of your comments but it’s okay to abuse the integrity of the photographer simply because he’s a white-man?  -With all due respect to you, i’m not so sure if you’re always this stupid or perhaps you’re making a special effort today because analysing your comments one by one is really throwing me for a loop, honestly.

You came on this page last Friday with your knuckle-dragging, with some vocabulary of a foul mouthed hamster and wrote: ‘the photographer there is taking risk for the money not for the love of the innocent Liberian people!’

You see, I was happy to see Sundiata Keita asked you a straight-forward intelligent question, ‘If you would you do what he did even if it was for money?’ - And where were you when the war was at its peak in Liberia anyway? Even after the war, what have you done to alleviate the sufferings of your fellow Liberians back home?

But instead, you splat out your ignorance for the whole world to see how your double digit IQ ticks and wrote: ‘you could personally do such if it was your career for the sake of the Liberian people because you’re a Liberian, so you could take more risk than he does’.

If I may ask, what do you think the photographer is doing in a war zone? Oh! You think it wasn’t his career as a freelance photo-journalist to record events of what was going on in Liberia, and you could do better? I don’t know you and I’ve never met you before, but judging from your lack of intelligence comments on this page, I doubt you could do one-percent of what Patrick Robert had done in Liberia, especially to people like myself who had spent few years of their childhood fighting a war that wasn’t of my generation making. I even posted a link of his interview excerpts where he talked of his mission in Liberia, but yet you have your pride so up your ass you don’t even know whether to fart or to retract your derogatory comments about a man you basically don’t know and never met. I don't know what makes you so stupid, but it really works.

You didn’t even stop there, but telling me not to become a stupid fool because Patrick is my so call friend? You're obviously straight as a circle on this one, so let me give you a word of advice before i get you back on your feet, exile yourself from public comments because you already show lack of knowledge and out of touch attitude to participate in one. Fool!

It’s a shame to see a Liberian talk ill of a man who put his life at risk not only to record the war events in Liberia for the young generation to see and not to make the same mistakes of war, but also to help prevent the use of children as soldiers in war battles.

Reading your comments further will make any lay-man on this page to realise that you need some help. Massive one indeed! You said, “Patrick have make some dollars, if it not from TMZ but some where else either directly or indirectly’. I could tell you now that TMZ paid no dime for all these pictures on this site. Patrick Robert is a man that would never take advantage of a situation such as this. TMZ didn’t pay for all those photographs; he’s got the copyrights free from Patrick. And you didn’t even stop there but wanting to educate me on public forum… that’s really laughable, isn’t it?

Now, since you mentioned education, I think its wise for me to give your brain a little lift and educate you a bit on how freelancing works so you know who people like Patrick Robert really is. The point is, in the western society there are some institutions like the ‘Arts Council’ that sponsor any freelancers, who wish to take on an extra-ordinary project like war-photography and stuff like that. Patrick is passionate about photography and he took on this role charitably and changed a lot of Liberian lives. I am the product of one of those lives he touched, if you don’t know.

If Patrick has his heart closed-up in the dark-ages as your comments shows you are, he won’t be in Liberia in the first place and no one will ever know him and talk good of him in all the places he’s been to like Iran, Afghanistan, DRC Congo etc.
I really hope you will find more meaning in your life when you finally brave enough to push beyond your timidity and ignorance...when you choose caring for others irrespective of their skin-colour, as your highest priority. Enough said!

July 4, 2011 at 3:47 pm

Tamba Johnny Nyumah @Joseph Spencer i guess that i answer the question of
Mr.Sundiata Keiata and as a sound and reasonable and educated person he did understood
my expression not a stupid fool like you Joseph Spencer who just written for the sake

of written,in my statement i never said that your so call friend you call ur father Patrick Robert
TMZ paid him for the download of the photos,no.i said ether he got some dolls directly or indirectly and i never said TMZ paid know you are a educated fool and just one kind of stupid ass hole who is looking for publicity but it won't come from me.replying to ur stupid nonsense you wrote will surly make me a fool like you.there is no need to go to war of
words on public page with such a stupid asshole like asshole Joseph Spencer find
something else to do or write,if you can't go and fuck ur self ok brother man.u r nothing
but a piece of shit.did Patrick Robert photos stop war lords from using child soldiers in
liberia.ok Joseph Spencer only you and Patrick Robert knew the deep secret between you words to you is enough and will always respond to ur comment till you get to know
that i am not an enemy to Patrick Robert.i await your next post!
July 4, 2011 at 9:27 pm

Joseph Spencer You see, it’s very easy for people like you to log onto their computer and jump into various discussions with attacks and counter attacks just for the fun of it. Why?- Simply because you are led by your ignorance and lack of knowledge of the situation. At the end of the day, the realities are so blatant and undeniable…Just as long as you jump into discussions with attack phrases to people like Patrick Robert who are just doing their bit for humanity, that's ok with you, isn’t it? UNFORTUNATELY, THE REALITIES ARE THERE!

At this point, I don’t even know whether to continue to tell you what you really are or just to ignore you with the way you keep eating your words and changing your tune to make yourself look like you’ve been victimised. I could tell you’re hurting and it would be unfair to continue to tell you what you really are to the point where you might start to consider the ‘rope’ option to end it all. I just think for humanity sake I should atleast give you a last piece of advice:
‘If you don’t want drama, then don’t run your mouth because there is no vaccine for stupidity'.

July 5, 2011 at 7:13 am

Tamba Johnny Nyumah @Joseph Spencer i am completely tired of ur words brother, please
let look for another subject matter as a liberian, let us not fight a war of words on public
forum,as i look at you it seems you love to make palava as liberian people call it,i got no
red shoes or short jeans trouser for a fight brother.better to make friends than war,my words
about Patrick Robert did not mean any harm or high feelings.Spencer please let roost our cassava and eat it with red oil you hear.sorry for any high feelings of my words to both you and Patrick Robert as you deem it,cool dude!

you please make your self clear to the public@Othello Likey Wilson thanks a lot
brother man u sound right on those war lords, they are the one to be brought to justice,as
for the photos i think it is necessary for TMZ to put them up so that those that partake in blood sharing can see the damages done to their own people, these photos will give them some sense of
reasoning of their wrong in the past, even CNN,BBC,ALJAZEERA some time put up graphic images too and viewer  descriptions are adverse of some high are the act of memories,it may sometime bring discomfort but it some time used as history too.the truth will prevail, even when you are in the minority of one the truth is always the truth.we will get to know who the real enemy are.the same politician that give the children the guns are leading us today not caring to educate them and bring them back into society but interest in corruptions, they are ministers in liberia and living in the united states, they believed in white supremacy banking in the western world, later they are charged and their money is freeze, stupid africans leaders.

Bashiru Bah  @Hassan, some of them were self-motivated as their parents were all killed
simply because they were madingos.  At my age 12 - 18, I could become a rebel if anybody
killed both my parents for no good reason.

Ebony Davis This is craziness 101 I am telling you.
April 28, 2011 at 2:05 pm

Al Hussein Fadiga I remember these LURD commanders coming to the refugee camp in Guinea [Camp Kuankan] to lure and sometimes forcibly take these children away from their parents to fight. I work with several of them and they all had different stories. Many also died. What a sad day for Liberia. I hope that we use this as a teachable moment instead of generating hate from them.

Janet Seton Hahaha they shouldn't tell you to take them down, they must be happy because they are posted world wide
May 4, 2011 at 3:51 pm

A.j. Hoff TMZ...That the ironic part! People are more concerned with how they are viewed after the fact than they were about committing certain acts. If you commit terrible acts in public, it will be your legacy publicly. Keep posting my brother. You have given many of us the images we've longed for!! --This is just one man's opinion.

so heart goes out to all the parents who kids were turned to small soldiers
during the civil war.
June 16, 2011 at 8:30 am

Samuel Cooper @The Whole Disussion Forum: Why do everyone in this forum only
focus on the effects of the Liberian civil war? What happened to the causes? That
ignorant bad behavior of our forefathers called "you say and I say" (GOSSIP) that still
applies today, is what  I attribute to Liberia's demise. Boldy spreading lies and rumors
around town demonizing the righteous as devils. These children were just the result of
this malice and treachery that ur culture embraces so much as the norm. Our forebearing
ways just cought up with us that all. We must change or else, face the same fate in another
6 to 10 years or so. No matter what tangible developments the present government carries
out Liberia, without focusing on the intangable aspects, it won't avert this carnage we all
witnessed. What better development today?? What development and improvement to our
human capicity didn't the late William R. Tolbert regime implement? But when your house
is built in sinking sand, it won't stand. Liberians need to stop pretending to be saints cause
we're not.
