President Sirleaf Consoles Egypt, The Philippines

(THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2013): President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the Government and People of the Arab Republic of Egypt after a train ploughed a truck and a mini-bus at a railway-crossing, killing twenty six (26) people and injuring twenty eight (28) others in the south of Cairo.

In her message to Interim President Adly Mahmud Mansour, President Johnson Sirleaf, on behalf of Liberia, extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and People of Egypt, especially the families of the victims, for the irreparable loss sustained.

President Johnson Sirleaf further prayed that the Almighty Allah will grant President Mansour and the People of Egypt, strength, courage, and fortitude as they go through this difficult period of national mourning.
